The AIL Championships on November 4th were amazing!
There were 200+
competitors with 350+ people in attendance. We had competitors from
Taiwan, Japan, & Australia.
As usual, everyone was full of energy and cheering each other on.
Thats one thing that makes the AIL events so fun. Everyone is
supporting each other and having fun weather they are 9 years old
and just learning to drop in or they are 25 years old and good
enough to turn Pro. So thank you to everyone that participated and
supported the Amateur Inline League Championships on November 4th.
The evening ended with a huge award banquet that was made possible
by Rollerblade. There were balloons, great trophies & awards, and
LOTS of good food. The lights dimmed as the Host Davee Blaire made
a grand entrance. A highlight video of the year was displayed as
everyone cheered & yelled with excitement. You can view the AIL
highlight video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2bDvks--7Q
There were a lot of different awards handed out. From the Overall
point winners, most improved, to naming the West Coast Champion!
By the way, Congratulations to the 2006 AIL West Coast Champion,
Gavin Drumm. For more information about event placings, check out
the AIL website at www.inlineleague.com.
Arlo Eisenberg brought the night to an amazing ending with a special
speech to the competitors and audience. Arlo was presented with the
first AIL Hall of FAme award. It was an honor to have Arlo present
and to accept such an award. Thank you ARLO for all you do and stand
for!
Next years results will be out soon so stay tuned and keep checking
out the AIL website! Thank you to everyone who supported us and
believed in what we are doing! Next year is going to be even BIGGER!
